How CC:LifeLine Works
A virtual contact center provides built-in business continuity because virtual agents can access the service from any phone and PC with an internet connection. If their primary work location is disabled or even if they cannot travel to the center due to snow, flood or pandemic they simply access the service from a pre-planned alternate work location or even their home. CC:LifeLine extends this capability to any company by providing a hosted contact center environment in reserve; to be accessed anytime it is required.
Your agents will continue to use the same systems they use today for normal operations. As part of your companies normal disaster preparedness they will receive training on how to access and use CC:LifeLine in the event it is invoked. The training takes less than an hour and the product is so intuitive that frequent retraining is not required.
CC:Lifeline remains ready for traffic at all times. When your disaster plan is invoked the agents log into CC:LifeLine from their alternate work location; your telecom manager instructs your 800 number service carrier to deliver traffic to the CC:LifeLine hosting center. There is no notification to Aastra required in order to begin disaster operations. The activity of the agents and callers will cause our systems to notify the Aastra OnDemand operations staff that one or more customers have begun disaster operations.
As part of standard business continuity planning your company will identify where and how employees will work in various disaster scenarios. CC:Lifeline enhances this process because it requires so little technology at the alternate locations, basically only a phone and an internet connection. There is no software to buy, install or maintain. The product is highly intuitive so training is minimal. There is no “process” for turning it on, its ready when you need it so you can continuous operations.
Defining the CC:LifeLine Environment
Our contact center professionals work with you to define a business continuity environment for your call center. It will be designed to be as simple or robust as you need. Regular Testing
Effective business continuity planning requires testing in a real production environment. CC:LifeLine provides the ability for agents to log on an take test calls once per quarter to insure that the system works as designed. You can even have small portion of real incoming call traffic directed to the hosted center to process real calls for a complete end to end validation of the plan.
